Nordic ID & NitroASL announced partnership

Nordic ID and NitroASL announced today they are entering into a partnership to develop Hardware/Software Bundles to capitalise on Microsoft's recent entry into the Retail Software Segment with RMS.

Microsoft's Retail Management System (RMS) is set to change the face of this huge global business (one in four businesses globally operates in the Retail sector). Nordic ID and NitroASL will offer complete hardware and software AutoID and Wireless Data Capture solutions for areas such as Stocktaking, Queue Busting and incoming goods these solutions will integrate seamlessly into RMS. The first bundle is now in final QA testing and will be officially launched in the UK market by Mark Tailfords team of Nordic ID Ltd. in the next few weeks. A US launch is expected by Q2 2005.

Nordic ID and NitroASL have joined forces on providing a clever, easy to use, thin client Data Capture solution built on state-of-the-art technologies. The handheld instruments and the application software will be available in all the major global markets through a number of different channels. Nordic ID instruments will utilise NitroASL's NitroNordic RMS Suite to extend the functionality of RMS.

The jointly developed bundles are designed for Retailers in the Tier 2 to Tier 4 segments, who are already using RMS (or intend to deploy it) and who wish to maximise their return on investment by extending RMS capabilities in order to increase productivity and create even more new business opportunities in the field of delivery/dispatch scheduling and real time purchase order, stock taking, asset tracking monitoring, supply logistics and even service personnel management.
