Swisslog targets the small & medium sized business market with a new software product for warehousing and distribution

Swisslog, a global provider of integrated logistics solutions, has launched a new software product called WarehouseExpert. The new product, WarehouseExpert, is a warehouse management system specifically designed to fit the needs of small and medium sized enterprises (SME). Swisslog is rapidly extending its existing reseller channel to penetrate the SME market segment.

WarehouseExpert has been developed especially for small and medium sized businesses to address their specific requirements for improved inventory accuracy and transparency, product tracking and tracing, enhanced quality of customer service, efficient warehouse execution and effective task management. WarehouseExpert is highly pre-configured to ensure the best practice processes of the SMB market. This SME specific solution for warehousing and distribution is scalable and extendable, enables flexible integration and has an implementation time of less than two weeks.

WarehouseExpert has been created to simplify the warehouse processes and to ensure successful implementation of a unique solution that provides all the components and services required to successfully deploy a 'Real time logistics management' initiative.

To complete the offering, Swisslog has extended its partnership with LXE, a global player in industrial wireless computers and data collection solutions, to ensure fast and smooth go-live of WarehouseExpert. Swisslog and LXE have defined specific standardized configurations to simplify paperless warehouse operations using barcode technology and RFID.
