Night Owl truck stops

Independent fuel management company CH Jones has taken over the management of fuel provision at Night Owls five truck stops, which are some of the UKs key sites for overnight parking and rest facilities.

Night Owl operates five large sites, providing facilities for more than 1000 trucks each night.  These are strategically located along major trunk routes, serving Carlisle, Newcastle, Rugby, Wolverhampton and Alconbury.  The sites aim to provide everything a trucker might need on an overnight stop, including motel facilities and restaurants.  Sadly the fuel pumps have been out of use since the beginning of 2004.  Now, thanks to a new deal with CH Jones, the company is once again able to offer refuelling facilities to their customers.

Murdo MacDonald, Managing Director of Night Owl comments:

We are delighted to be able to offer our customers refuelling facilities once again.  CH Jones were the obvious choice in terms of the size and flexibility of their network, and their expertise means we can ensure our sites have the latest automated features with the best security on the market.  We are investing in new equipment and implementing a renovation programme across all the sites.

He continues:

In todays climate its essential for truckers to have access to reliable and secure overnight sites.  We aim to offer the whole package excellent rest facilities, restaurants and now the latest refuelling options as well.

Cliff Cartwright, Financial Director of CH Jones adds:

The closure of fuel facilities at Night Owls truck stops was greeted with dismay by the haulage industry, and CH Jones are pleased to be working with Night Owl to ensure these crucial sites are revitalised.
