Booz Allen Hamilton, the global strategy and technology consulting firm, has developed an online test to help people identify how their Organisational DNA might be hindering corporate performance. The five minute test, available at www.orgdna.com, gives an instant evaluation of an organisation, using seven defined organisational types resilient, just-in-time, military, passive-aggressive, fits-and-starts, outgrown, and overmanaged.
Employees at all levels can complete an assessment of their organisation by answering 19 simple questions at www.orgdna.com. The tool is similar to a personality assessment and produces an immediate diagnosis which can help organisations identify traits which hinder execution of strategy, whilst also identifying hidden strengths in order to improve their financial performance.
Booz Allen has observed that the ability to execute is inherent, embedded in the processes, relationships, measurements and beliefs that constitute an organisations DNA. By changing the building blocks of DNA, organisations can develop to better implement strategy.
Your strategy doesnt work unless your organisation does. The organisational DNA profiler helps highlight areas of opportunity. said Booz Allen Vice President Jake Melville.
Booz Allen will be releasing results from the global study in spring 2005.
