Manhattan Associates, (Nasdaq: MANH) the global leader in providing supply chain execution (SCE) and optimisation solutions, has today announced the appointment of six key members to its EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) team. With the recent launch of Manhattan Associates Integrated Logistics Solutions in Europe, the new members of the team will help support the companys expanded product footprint. They will also help further extend Manhattan Associates geographical focus across the region and provide ongoing support to its expanding customer base.

Steve Smith has been appointed vice president Performance Services for EMEA. Smith joins Manhattan Associates from SSA Global (formerly EXE Technologies) where he held a number of positions in the companys supply chain management division. Most recently Smith was general manager for the divisions EMEA region.

Luke Macfarlane, who joins as sector manager, will focus on retail and major accounts. Macfarlane joins Manhattan Associates from Red Prairie, where he spent four years working within their European operation (formerly LIS) as business development manager, managing key accounts and leading new business sales.

Vincent Menvielle, RFID services consultant, will offer additional strength to Manhattan Associates leadership in RFID/EPC activities across EMEA. Menvielle spent four years as a consultant at Deloitte, most recently in its RFID practice.

Chris Gross, transportation sector manager, will strengthen Manhattan Associates focus on delivering Transportation Management solutions across EMEA. Having previously worked for Descartes, Manugistics and i2, Gross brings with him extensive transportation management experience. Most recently he worked for Descartes as sales director of Central and Eastern Europe.

Giuseppe D'Antonio, channel partner manager, will focus on managing and establishing new channels and partnerships for Manhattan Associates across EMEA. DAntonio has just received his MBA at INSEAD in France, having previously worked at Manhattan Associates for four years on a wide variety of SCE implementation projects in the Americas and Europe.

Finally, Michael Agnew has joined as technology systems manager to help customers and partners select appropriate technology configurations to optimise their SCE solution investments. Previously Agnew worked with hardware systems integrator WTL and in project management and sales roles at Swisslog for three years.

We are very excited to have these individuals join us, and are delighted to have added more than 40 new people to the EMEA team this year alone, said Jeff Baum, senior vice president of international operations at Manhattan Associates. The EMEA region is a key market for Manhattan Associates and we look forward to further strengthening the Manhattan Associates team to support our growing number of customers across the region in their deployment of our Integrated Logistics Solutions.
