TXT e-solutions SpA, a European market leader in supply chain solutions, has announced the signing of an agreement for the acquisition of 100% of MSO, a German company specialising in supply chain software technologies. MSO was previously owned by Semikron International (semiconductor manufacturers) with a 62% share, and 38% by its management.
Founded in Germany in 1996, MSO is actively present in three main industrial sectors - textiles and apparel, engineering, and light manufacturing. In 2003 MSO - which has some 30 employees based in Chemnitz and Halle in Germany - achieved revenues of 2 million (a revenue increase of 10% is expected for 2004), had no debt, and showed a profit. The purchase price paid by TXT is above 2.0 million.
With the acquisition of MSO, TXT intends to consolidate its presence in the German market and to widen its offering in the fashion industry. At the same time, with the specific products developed by MSO, TXT e-solutions will position itself as a key player at European level in the light manufacturing sector. MSO's offering will shortly be enriched and integrated by the TXT SC&CM products range.
