Hes got the key to the door

Perry Watts, Exels Managing Director, Retail and Consumer Non-Food presents Comets Managing Director Simon Fox with the key to Comets new North West Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) in Skelmersdale, Lancashire at its official opening on Friday 3 September 2004.

Comet has invested 20 million in the Skelmersdale RDC, its first purpose-built DC and its largest-ever site. Exel will manage warehouse and distribution operations at the new RDC, which is set to create over 300 jobs by 2006.

Perry Watts said, The new RDC strengthens our strategic partnership with Comet and is a cornerstone development in the distribution strategy for Comets whole network. It is one of the biggest retail and non-food distribution centres in Europe and is part of the re-configuration of Comets supply chain.
