APS to Extend Customer Service Excellence with Sanderson

Sanderson, the leading UK-owned enterprise software provider, has won a new contract to supply its Unity solution to Assembly and Packing Services Ltd (APS) based in Northumberland. The deal will enable APS to meet business objectives by automating key operational areas, improving visibility of information and simplifying complex processes. The IT infrastructure will help APS to extend customer service excellence using the latest web portal technology to facilitate customer communications.

APS is a leading supplier of contract packing services to a prestigious client base including Boots, Proctor and Gamble and a number of High Street brands. Unitys suite of software modules will provide APS with a fully integrated business solution, at every stage of the order, from estimating through to delivery to the customer. Replacing the current IT infrastructure with the latest technology will enable APS to utilise web portals as part of customer communications, giving customers access to critical information at their convenience.

Integrating operations across their two sites in Blyth and Thorne, will deliver a number of benefits to APS. These include reducing time spent on duplicate activities, improving operational efficiency, reducing overheads and time to market, and providing more accurate, speedier communications. The introduction of a fully integrated business solution will remove gaps in current end-to-end processes, allowing personnel to focus on more value added tasks, whilst providing first class customer service.

Paul Reveley, Operations Director, APS, said:

We were looking for a system that would extend our flexibility to meet customer demand, automate and integrate operations and make it easier for our customers to do business with us. Sanderson provided us with a solution that exceeded our business needs and offered the latest web technology to help us meet ambitious growth targets.

Dave Worsman, Director and General Manager of Sandersons manufacturing business, said:

We are delighted to be working in partnership with APS on this exciting project and that they have selected Unity to drive their business forward. This decision demonstrates Unitys continued ability to meet the needs of businesses today and to deliver real and ongoing business improvements.
