Addressing reverse logistics management

Embracing RFID and voice recognition technology

"Our Integrated Logistics Solution for Retail is designed to solve the specific challenges facing retailers and their trading partners. It enables retailers, along with their manufacturing supplier, distribution, transportation, logistics and wholesale partners, to confront the issues that are unique to their supply chains, said Jeff Baum, senior vice president of international operations at Manhattan Associates. These integrated yet modular solutions leverage our deep domain expertise and understanding of the needs of retail-related supply chains gained through years of real-world experience with many leading organisations, some of which include Boots, Debenhams, Halfords, Hoogenbosch, House of Fraser, Kiabi, Okaidi, River Island, Selfridges and World Duty Free Europe."

Manhattan Associates Integrated Logistics Solution for Retail features supply chain execution and optimisation solutions that can be delivered as stand-alone applications to meet companies specific needs or as an integrated set of solutions that deliver business and operational benefits right across the supply chain.

Allen Scott, vice president of European operations at Manhattan Associates, said, "Just about every company that operates within a particular retail supply chain can benefit from our Integrated Logistics Solution for Retail. Its modular nature means a small supplier could deploy a single application component from our RFID-in-a-Box solution to help it comply with the labelling requirements of a large retail customer. Equally, the ability of our Integrated Logistics Solution for Retail to provide ownership of all aspects of order execution from the point orders are accepted to the moment they are delivered, means a large retail chain with a complex goods supply network can acquire comprehensive control over, and visibility into, every item of inventory as it makes its way along the entire supply chain.
