THREE ISO CERTIFICATIONS FOR EXELS AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR IN GERMANY

Exel, the global leader in supply chain management, announced today that all of its six automotive centres in Germany have been awarded ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditation.

The auditors, DEKRA-ITS GmbH Stuttgart, have recognised that Exels Automotive sector complies with all the requirements of the Quality, Environmental Management and Occupational Health & Safety standards for the Companys portfolio of supply chain services including inbound logistics, national and international transport, warehousing management, assembly, sequencing and line-feeding.

Obtaining and integrating the Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety certifications forms part of a European-wide initiative within Exels Automotive sector, that aims to provide a framework for continuous improvement and ensures identical high service levels in all countries.

To date the sector has been awarded fifty ISO 9001:2000, twelve ISO 14001 and fourteen OHSAS 18001 accreditations across its European operations.

These certifications confirm Exels commitment to providing quality services to its customers in a safe and environment-conscious environment.

Exels Automotive sector in Germany has operating centres in Meinerzhagen, Lohfelden, Baunatal, Kassel Nordshausen, Kassel Waldau and Offenau, providing both inbound to manufacturing and service & replacement services for leading car manufacturers and suppliers including Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and Volvo.
